Once again, SEDIC places the Yearbook in the hands of its members—an initiative launched in 2019 that, since then, has made it possible to compile all the articles published in Clip de Sedic: Journal of the Spanish Society for Documentation and Scientific Information over the previous twelve months, while also offering new content that explores, in depth, different current topics relevant to the sector.

In addition, coinciding with the release of the SEDIC Yearbook 2026, the Association has made last year’s Yearbook publicly accessible.

The SEDIC Yearbook 2026 brings together all the content published in the two 2025 issues of Clip into a single print publication, allowing readers to gain a clear understanding of the state of the profession over recent months. This edition reviews all the sections that have given a voice to professionals in documentation, archives, library science, and information management, while also covering current developments in the sector.

Moreover, previously unpublished content is included. On this occasion, the publication opens with a dossier that presents the experiences of various public entities using Artificial Intelligence in information management. The dossier is authored by María Inclán Sánchez and Ana Calleja Fernández, from the Bank of Spain, with the article “Responsible Use of AI: The Bank of Spain Experience”; José Luis Bueren Gómez-Acebo, Director of the National Library of Spain, who presents “Initial Experiences with Artificial Intelligence at the National Library”; and Fernando Martínez Guzmán, data engineer at Fundación Juan March, who closes these pages with the article “Embeddings and Conversational Models: A New Way to Explore, Understand, Describe, and Connect Information in Libraries.”
